low ping, still lagging

Recommended Posts

I'm getting into servers with 10-30 ping and i lag like I have 300. It makes it unplayable to me at times. I have a $1000 computer I bought specifically for gaming, it works great for other games. I have my visual settings down at the lowest level to help, but it's still lagging as if I have high ping. I have no idea what to do now, any help?

The performance of your computer has nothing to do with ping.

A poor server or poor connectivity from other people will cause lag regardless of how high quality -everything- you may have.

Edit; You should know these things, having spent that much money on a PC and being a gamer.

Probably a laggy server. You do understand ping does not affect fps, and fps does not affect ping, right?

Next time donate some of that $1000 dollars to your internet supplier to improve the connectivity in your area and settle for a gaming pc that will probably do everything you would need gaming wise anyway.

Try to enter in a public server with a good hosting company so you can prove that it's a server problem and not of your ISP.
