h3retic 224 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) intel core 2 quad 2.40 GHzwhere did u dig out that old cpu lawl :)i used to have it though, its alright for dayz but far from perfect, u will need a gpu to run dayz (what u gave as pc specs doesnt include a gpu)and although i am not certain of the following, id say that i dont see a reason for dayz not to run on windows8 Edited January 6, 2013 by h3retic

klesh 2423 Posted January 7, 2013 I just can't get on board with Windows8. I've watched a number of videos about it and it's a real turn off.

klesh 2423 Posted January 7, 2013 The only thing that phases me is this tile bollocks.Luckily, apparently you can switch it back to the classic desktop format.Indeed, as a fella that doesn't use facebook or twitter, the fact that they are almost force fed onto your desktop really irks me. Things like "My Photos" or whatever, I know where they are on my PC, I don't need them permanently spammed into my workspace at all times. I have no intention of making my home desktop a touchscreen, so using a touchscreen driven OS just doesn't fly.I've seen the classic desktop format, but it is without a start menu and I have the sneaking suspicion that every time you boot up you'd have to manually go to the pseudo-classic mode. I'll hold off 'til Windows9, and hopefully they'll see the error of their ways and revert back to something a little more "normal".
