Try looking at Survivor HQ or Clan/Group Recruitment thread, more chance of getting a team-mate there :)

First few rules of DayZ. Atleast modern DayZ.

-Someone asks where you are, you're only response is: "Bug off." Unless in a delicate situation when you simply say "I don't want to tell you that."

-NEVER TRUST A BANDIT SKIN, YOU WILL ONLY KNOW PAIN IF YOU DO! You don't have to shoot them, and your best bet is to avoid them because those who are Die-Hard bandits might decide to hunt you if you do.

-Camping tents are not made for buildings. Hide them away from towns surrounded by bushes or rocks, but near a signifigant landmark.

-When crossing roads, hold shift or go prone to cross.

-Gravity applies.

-When seeing a survivor, if he yells friendly and starts running toward you, most likely he is going to kill you. Run.

-Never trust a hatchet man when he is running toward you.

-Having the upper hand on a survivor, always make them drop their weapon.

-When a survivor yells friendly, tell them to lower their weapon (double-tap Ctrl) otherwise run or shoot.

-If you don't want to kill someone, a shot or chop to the leg will do some good, then just throw a smoke or attract zombies to them and let them finish the job!

-You are always being watched. The outhouses have eyes.

-Fishing boats suck. Don't ride them.

Edit when I think of more.

Come Check us out, during the days its pretty peacefull and people are usually willing to help out new players. Additionally our server has an amazing balance between being very Newb friendly and Vet PVP. Something that cant really be explain but needs to be experianced. We are a white listed server to keep out the hacker types so I would need your GUID prior to you joining.

How To Get Your GUID:

Join Any Battleye Enabled Server.

Open The Chat Window ( By Pressing "/" ).

Type "#beclient guid" Then Hit Enter (This Will Then Display Your GUID In The Chat Log).

How To Copy It:

Reopen The Chat Window And Type It Out Before It Disappears.

Hold Shift And Press The Left Arrow To Highlight Your GUID.

Press Clt+C To Copy It.
