DayZ is not fully optimised untill the stand alone. People with the top of the end gaming PC's lag. Certain places are not optimised, so it's perfectly normal.

If the fps problems only arise when around large towns or large amounts of buildings, this is common with dayz. If you want to fix your problem, put all the settings to medium and start making small changes as you go. You cannot run this on a 570 on ultra. I run 2 580's in sli with a i7 2700k @ 4.8 and ultra is a no no.

To simplify. Your system cannot run this on ultra without probs. Turn your settings down.

He is not fn crazy he is correct. Whats your hard drive speed because that is a factor as well as the CPU & GPU. If you have at least 16gig ram you can run the game on a RamDisk which should help with performance.

The machine that can run ArmAII/CO has yet to be invented.

DayZ is pretty light on the system fyi.

Try a full Warefare server or even the original Chernarus campaign.

@ OP, I have + or - the same spec's as yourself turn it down a notch and set your vid memory to default in the options.
