I only bought arma 2...

So I bought arma 2 waited 2 hours for it to download to find out I need the combined operations one. -_- AHH! Anyways, can I just buy the arrowhead or do I need Combined Operations?

I've been waiting all day to play this game and now I find problems.

At this point you only need operation arrowhead. Tons of guides out there that explain in great detail exactly what you need in order to get DayZ working. You should read one.

Yeah, welcome to DayZ. Wait until you ask a question in someones sidechat! lol... They will rape you alive. I bought Arma II and Arma Operation Arrowhead on a steam sale for like $14.99... Yes, this game can be difficult to install and get working for some, but there is a lot of detailed how-to's. I found the YouTube ones especially helpful. If you need a friendly place to play your welcome on our server.

I'm going to keep looking for the youtube setups on how to get the game onto day z. I can open arrowhead but since I purchased the two arma games from different locations it won't combine them... whatever.

Right now i'm just trying to figure out the Day Z commander. Everytime I click on a server I get errors.

You can combine them by I believe going to your Computer going into the C:\\ Directory and then going to wherever you installed the game it in my case steam so it would be Steam->Steamapps->and in there placing your Arma 2 OA folder in there

DZC is the easiest and fastest way on getting DayZ working if you have Arma2 on Steam.

I installed it manually the first time and had Battle Eye issues.

Completely uninstalled ARMA 2 and OP Arrowhead from Steam, cleared out all the folders in User/Documents/Games did the following.

1. Re-installed ARMA 2 and Op Arrowhead via Steam.

2. Ran ARMA 2 once.

3. Ran Op Arrowhead once.

4. Installed DZC and followed the instructions on the site's FAQ.

5. DayZ worked first time out and continues to do so.

Agree with DayZ Commander being key for me.

Bought Combined Operations last week. Launch Arma 2 and Launch Arrowhead (both until the first options screen), one after the other. Install DayZ Commander, launch it, and update everything under the update menu - Arma 2 and DayZ mod. Double clicked a server and I was playing DayZ.

I've had no problem during install and no problems since; so much so that I find it weird why so many are having problems installing the game. Good luck!
