I figured I'd make this thread so we can all discuss and share our day in DayZ. Could make for some funny an interesting chat.

My day went as followed - I started out fresh on a new server and got myself some nice new gear. I kept seeing some chopper flying around but had no idea where it was going. I decided to head to the nearby factory and low and behold there was the chopper on top of the factory with what looked like 3 guys running around. 1 in a bandit outfit, 1 in normal clothing and 1 in camo. I waited it out and they eventually flew off. I crawled (fucking zombies surrounding me) as fast as I could into their base and looked around but couldn't find anything on the bottom floor. I then heard the chopper coming back. I knew if I had run out of the base I would have been shot as it's surrounded by open land, so I hid in a corner and waited. After 5 minutes ofn othing and still hearing the chopper running I figured they must be on the roof so I slowly started heading up there. Turns out they were hovering above the base and started raining death upon me as I came into sight killing me. They knew I was there because they saw the spawned zombies -_-

I respawned and got myself some gear in the towns before heading inland. I looked everywhere for chopper crashes and vehicles to no avail. I decided to head to Devil's castle and I almost had a heart attack when I saw a almost perfect chopper right in the middle. Turns out it had no fuel and needed a rotary assembly. I headed out to the nearby towns but nothing. After 30 minutes of searching I was getting bored but then I saw a British police car (server side vehicle possibly?)Inside of it I found FN FAL with NV. Unfortunately it was stuck so I left it and headed to the next town. As I was sneaking around behind a house I heard a car coming down the road. I hid and it passed me and stopped about 50m further down. I snuck up on it and couldn't see the driver anywhere. I looked around for a while and still couldn't see him. I then closed in on the car and saw him crouching in the doorway of a house pointing his M16 in my direction. He knew I was there! I stayed behind the house as I knew he'd hear my footsteps If I got closer. I had no intentions of killing him, only taking his car. He also had normal clothing on, so wasn't a bandit which made me trust him a little more. I hadn't got my mic on so couldn't communicate with him whichwas my downfall. A moment later he had disappeared from the doorway, I didn't bother to check to the right of the house as I didn't think he'd be stupid enough to run out of the house and come towards me like that as I SHOULD have easily heard him. Next thing I know I have 5 bullets in my back. He actually came around the back. No idea how he did it so fast. No chance that he crawled or rolled in such a small amount of time and I didn't hear him walking. Moral of the story: Trust no one unless you can speak to them via mic. >:(

I snuck into a base by myself with an m240 m16 and satchel charges. There was about 10 to 15 of them, most of them armed with AK's and M16's some with better weapons like LMGs or snipers. I put three satchel charges. One on their chopper, another on there URL loaded with weapons and the other was on a bunch of tents loaded with an assortment of gear. ( all of this was at night ) while I was leaving I noticed there was more guards at the entrence so I new this would be hard to escape. So I took out my m240 and mowed 4 of them down. After this I started sprinting for the exit with these bastards close behind me. I managed to get out and I only got shot once, then the second I saw it was safe I blew up the charges it was beautiful. These guys were pissed so the rest of them which was about 5 tried to hunt me down in the forest. While on the run these guys called more of there buddies stationed all over the map to hunt me down. They hunted for me for about an hour and they never found me but I still did manage to get one more of them near a pond getting water before I left. I probably will travel up north and just live off the land by myself and hopefully won't run into these guys again.

Lost Huey, little bird and off road jeep, took nearly all day to fix up an ATV.. drove through electro and Cherno with the bean warz raging, have got as far as green mountain looking for jeep respawn, all in all pretty shit day, thanks for asking!

Running down the railroad tracks somewhere outside of Elecktro I came upon a dead body on a cliff. I built a little fire next to it and cooked the raw meat I had in my backpack. Busy tending to the fire I didn't notice someone approaching. Taking a shot to the torso I frantically tried to get to my feet and face my attacker. "HEY! HEY! WTF!" I exclaimed as my attacker fired again and again, turning I saw he was pulling the spent magazine out of his m1911 pistol and reaching for another. I raised my Winchester and let lose a few slugs in his direction. Everything went silent again, the crackling fire, the buzzing flies, was all I could hear as I pulled a field dressing from my pack and began patching myself up. I finished cooking the meat and looked through my assailants belongings, nothing worth his life, that's for certain.

So, I continued up the railway tracks. Still trembling with adrenaline, but trying to put the recent events out of my mind. It's important to remember why I ended his life, to remember that I had no choice, my hand was forced. Never the less, it still doesn't feel right to kill another human being. The infected are so far from being human anymore, but this, this isn't something I can easily forget.

Down the coast I run into another survivor, he is heading in the opposite direction, so I wish him well and we part ways. It's nice to talk to another person for a change. The social interaction makes it a bit easier to forget the horrors of my last encounter. Pushing on further down the coast I grow tired. I've been on my feet for hours, but it feels like I've only gone a few miles at the most. I decide to rest near some pine trees. They provide some decent cover and much needed relief from the sun. Sitting under the tree I smoke the last of my stash and drink some water.

Getting up to leave, I pull out the map I found back in the city and figure out where I am. There's a factory just north that might provide some refuge, so I continue along the railway tracks yet again. But, something catches my eye. My heart starts pounding again just from his body language, I quickly back up to the tree and peer around it. I see a man with a covered face wielding a hunting rifle with a large scope. He's looking in my direction, ready to fire. Instinctively I turn and run, keeping the pine trees between us, but the man must have seen me because as I glance over my shoulder he is in pursuit.

Ahead of me is a long hill side with sparse tree cover. Not good. I run trying to keep trees between us, but I know it's only a matter of time until he stops and fires. So, I quickly dash behind the closest tree. The tree is large enough to hide my body, but overcome with fear I decide to peer around it to locate him. Almost instantly, everything goes black.

It could have been a minute or 10 minutes, but when I awoke I was expecting to see him standing over me ready to end my life. But, he wasn't there. Then I see him running up, about 15m away. Unsure if my legs were injured, I rolled out from behind the tree and let lose a couple slugs from my Winchester, just barely missing him as he takes position behind another tree 10m away. Frantically I unload the rest of the slugs in and around his tree and then roll back behind the tree to reload.

Rolling back out I see him pointing his rifle around the side of the tree. A few more slugs into his tree forces him back. But, I have a good idea what he's planning and take careful aim at the other side of his tree. As suspected he leans out and takes a slug to the leg. I hear a scream and then "You asshole!" he exclaims. "Now we're both going to die" he says disappointed. I realize I'm still bleeding from his attack earlier, but I ignore my wounds for now and focus my attention on his tree.

He crawls out moments later and I send another few slugs through the foliage into his now motionless body. I wait a few more seconds but there's no movement. He's dead. Only then do I notice just how much blood I've lost and how woozy I'm feeling. Almost to the point of passing out I stand up surprised to see all my limbs are intact. I search through my attackers belongings and find a few pieces of cooked meat that help a little with the light headed feeling. I also take his Israeli made Uzi and several 30 round magazines. I find an ID on his body, BoiiWonder was his name.

Reluctant to head back down the railway tracks, I decide to keep heading up the hill. I've had enough excitement for one day, and I still don't feel 100%. Another encounter is more than I can take at this point. Unsure weather my trembling is from adrenaline or from my wounds, I can't get one question out of my mind, am I the asshole?
