Kind of sick of this Arma/Battleye crap.

Recommended Posts

Ok so not only is my Battleye stuffing up;

Reinstalled Arma 2 & OA.

Updated Battleye to Arma 2 & OA on Steam.

Manually Reinstalled Battleye to both Arma 2 and OA.

I had some trouble with Six launcher so I downloaded DayZ Commander.

I've updated my DayZ mod & Arma 2 to the newest update.

I've run Arma 2 as Admin and still nothing..

But now steam feels like just doing me over. Every time I try to reinstall battleye via steam for Arma 2 it does this

Failed to start game (missing excutable)

but doesn't do it when I reinstall the Battleye on OA.

I'm pretty angry right now because I bought Arma 2 & OA for the second time in a year for $60 AUD (total cost: $120) and reinstalled Arma 2 and OA yesterday.

I'm on the verge of giving up.

How about just sending a ticket to BE and maybe they will help you? Or post this on the Arma forums cause that's where BI is?

http://forums.bistud...TROUBLESHOOTING

http://www.battleye.com/support.html

will do my friend also do you think the Failed to start game (missing excutable) message i get on steam could also be a problem?

I smell bullshit , arma 2 and oa were like 25 euro's the entire year on steam thats like 30 dollar's i guess.

And since you made this topic today i guess you just bought the game like today or last week , wich means arma 2 and oa were in sale on steam for 15 dollar's or a bit more to lazy to make the calculation right now... Or you bought this game with a retailer and got ripped off big time.

Just saying....

Battle Eye is ruining the experience on some servers, kicking all players every couple of minutes. Tried contacting BE and no reply. I am really hoping that when Standalone comes out there there is a more stable anti cheat program than this one, and one with more support.

australian dollars are different to euros plus i bought arma 2 & OA for $60 for both in june, 2012. i forgot my steam acc and hotmail therefore i had to make a new account and had to get the game again hence why i paid $120 for something that is obviously a piece of shit.

gtfo fggt, don't assume shit you tard.

1 euro = 1.28 AUD

I totally agree man, It's either fix my battleye now or wait till dayz becomes a standalone game

i've spent three days trying to fix this shit and it's just driving me crazy.

It's the admin's fault for not setting filters correctly

@Duboisia Did you contact BE or post on the BI forums? Have you tried updating to a new Beta patch?

Yeah sent them an email and so far i've got nothing yet.

Kind of glad when DayZ becomes standalone the anti cheat program will be vac instead of battleye

No problem, just know that casual rascism/homophobia is not tolerated on this board.

Is swearing in context allowed?

i.e

"How the f*ck am I meant to get BattlEye to work?"

Well, *I* prefer less swearing TBH, but if it is in context and not offensive then, although frowned upon, it is tolerated.

If it's aimed at another user then its not tolerated.

When you post, pretend you're saying whatever is in your post in someone else's front room. That way you can't really go wrong.

Do what the previous guy said and submit a support ticket to BI. I would like to say, however, to make sure that Steam/ArmA/BattleEye are running as administrator when you update them (the setup fiiles as well) and see if that does anything for you.

From what I've seen, Steam is fucking people up the ass when it comes to ArmA. I have retail version and I've never really had problems with it also, generally speaking, most of the problems in this forum (as far as installation is concerned) has been with the Steam version. I got ArmA 2 OA for like 14 bucks on Amazon.

Are you running the game from Steam? Can you try to run the game separately without Steam?
