MikeTupper 68 Posted December 31, 2012 So, yeah, i've been off DayZ and its forums for about three months, but I decided to dive back in. Last time I played, hackers were everywhere and I kept being insta-killed by various paranormal phenomenon. I just wanted to know if it's still as bad. Have the hackers finally gotten bored? Has security been increased? Or has the wonderful DayZ community self-regulated itself and all hackers have now joined hands with the other players in kumbayah around a bonfire of WarZ copies? Most servers are private now anyway.I went in on the public hive yesterday and was killed within about 2 hours by an invisible suppressed M4-wielding hacker, so I'd say hacking is still rampant. BlksnshN 127 Posted December 31, 2012 I jumped on DayZ for about 15 minutes last night to try to set up an X Box controller (INB4 ERMEHGOD WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT) to play DayZ with as I am much more comfortable with a controller. Before I was even half way through mapping the controls I noticed my character suddenly had an AS50 TWS. funky_mish 75 Posted December 31, 2012 I jumped back in a couple of days ago, and was rewarded by finding my first ever ghillie suit within about 30 minutes of spawning.
