OP i'm having a similar problem, I've done everything you've done and more, yet everytime I join a lobby I get "battleye initialization failed"

I've bought Arma 2 & OA for $60 AUD and DayZ was the only reason why... I'm very pissed off right now.

I couldn't spent that on a better game that wouldn't fuck me over in the long run.

Correct me if I'm wrong AmberHelios because i can't remember exactly but as far as I know we installed the second beta patch, not the latest one.
