you need some sort of arma2 either free or paid and a copy of arma 2 oa to play the game anyways but i would play arma 2 oa training first

But aren't the controls the same on dayz as on arma 2??

Couldnt i download arma 2 JUST to learn the controls, even though it is a different game?

Yeah pretty much. Just do the basic training missions and play around in armoury for awhile. Or find a noob friendly domination server and play there for a bit to learn controls and how to fly a helicopter!

Oh wait, does free have armoury? I do not remember.

Tis a great idea for those who don't own Dayz, or on the other hand maybe not. You could end up spoiling the experience and familiarising yourself with Chernarus before release (Note the cherno map will be different in the SA)

You never know you may like is so much you buy it, and taste the other good things Ama 2 has to offer.
