So every now and then i hear this sound that is like machinery and it get louder and softer as i move around what does this mean if anything?

What map are you playing? There are some machinery sound effects by the green mountain antennae if I remember correctly

And by various other masts/antennae. It could also be a car?

that one is animals in line of sight. for me less than 200m

there is another sound for zeds spawning in range.

There is sometimes atmospheric music playing in the background, usually when zombies are nearby. Sometimes it sounds a bit like machinery.
