MaGxNerdy 8 Posted December 30, 2012 Hello I have been playing dayz for awhile now and these past couple of weeks i have been getting really bad fps so i googled around and had a look for some fixes none of them helped then i noticed that my ping would go up to 1000+ and my fps would drop below 3 so i'm here asking if any else had had this problem and if they know a fix.I play on Australian css and gmod servers with around 40-50 ping but when i get on Australian dayz mod servers i get 200-4000 ping so i was thinking it was a glitch with dayz mod so i tried normalarma 2:ao and arma 2 and it didn't happen on arma 2 just dayz and ao so does any one know a fix?My ping before joining the server In the server with my bad fps in top left cornerMe in armory on normal AO around the same place the ^ img was takenMy specs:Video card : Gigabyte Radeon HD7770 OCRAM : Kingston HyperX KHX1866C9D3K2/8GX 8GBOS : Windows 7CPU : AMD FX 4100 4-Core ProcessorMotherboard : ASUS M5A97 R2.0 MotherboardPSU : Antec Neo Eco 450C 450W Power SupplyThanks,
Inception. 9443 Posted December 30, 2012 I don't believe it's actually to do with your specs.Restart your computer--that tends to fix it for me.And if you have playwithsix/sixlauncher/DayZ Commander open whilst playing, close them.

Steak and Potatoes 13480 Posted December 31, 2012 Have you tried adjusting your modem settings internally to see if it helps?

predator11563@hotmail.com 1 Posted January 2, 2013 I think two components of your PC are slowing you down, either/or RAM and CPU.I think this because: DayZ is heavily CPU intensive, but not GPU intensive, I have a standard version of the same GPU, and get at least 40 fps in the middle of Cherno, in typically laggy situations (i.e. vehicle explosions, many zombies and players, artifacting etc.).I think 8GB of RAM is enough, but I play with 16GB, so I can't say for sure.
