can i just install operating arrow head to play dayz?

so basically i have just built new pc so i had to reinstall windows lost everything n i have really slow internet and i was wondering if i could just install arma 2 oa to play dayz? i have combinded operations so i have arma 2 and arma 2 oa but isit possible to install just arma 2 oa and play dayz?

No, you need both. You can use the free version of ArmA II though (it's a much smaller download but will result in lower resolution textures)

what do u mean ? like how low in reso? wont i be able to play dayz in high settings? i dont care about arma 2 i never play it just care about oa?

Here is a comparison of DayZ using free vs full version of ArmA. It's roughly 2.6 gig compared to 8.5gig for full.
