Question about the standalone.

Recommended Posts

I can currently run DayZ fine, using an Intel Core i3 processor, and Intel HD grapics 4000. Will I be able to run the standalone with these?

I'm pretty sure SA will be just about the same graphics, you ought to be fine.

Yup, you should be OK. The graphics in the SA should be slightly improved but the engine is better optimised so you should be good to go.

Can we safely say the system specs for take on helicopters will be on par with SA? Makes sense no?

It kind of makes sense but we don't really know what assets they've used from where. Don't forget one of the guy's working on the SA has been working with the engine for over a decade. He'll be able to pull in elements they like from Arma 3, TOH and Arma2 so it's a hybrid engine built to fill DayZ's needs. Confusing but true.

I think it's safe to say that it will be more refined than the TOH engine, simply because there is a lot of trim which can be cut out and, also, most of the leg work will be server side.

I am curious what settings you squeeze out of DayZ with that setup? Gotta be blocky play right?
