brockahlys@gmail.com 0 Posted December 28, 2012 hello well today i just got my new computer built to play dayz, i did the can i run it test but then it said i cant? its a 1600 dollar computer with the best things in it.when i g into dayz commander and click a server to open. the boxes come up but 2 ticks arent ticked (if that makes sense). also when i go to play this message here pops up. display adapter does not support format d24s8 for x8r8g8b8can sombody please help me ive been waiting so long to play dayz. i wanna get it working! terrorizer33 131 Posted December 28, 2012 Update directx (assuming you have Windows 7 or 8) (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17431), update your video card drivers (assuming you've got an Ati or Nvidia based card --> http://www.ati.com or http://www.nvidia.com and see what happens after.I know you have to startup ARMA2 combined ops at least once before you start up DayZ. terrorizer33 131 Posted December 28, 2012 Depending on the server you're trying to connect to you need to update your local files (ARMA2 and DayZ mod). terrorizer33 131 Posted December 31, 2012 Hehehe the issues you have are a bit vague to say the least. You're Windows install might have problems.. You have to 1 by 1 eliminate all options (drivers/directx) and dig from there.. Some problems are quite hard to fix if you don't know exactly what you're looking for.
