Looking for Full Admin [Fragworks Gaming Community]

Recommended Posts

Hello, this is Fierce, founder of a westcoast multi-gaming community named Fragworks (www.fragworks.net)

Fragworks.net is looking to add DayZ to our community, and would like to open up a server.

The problem is, none of us have ever created a DayZ server before, and are also busy with the other gameservers we have.

What we're looking for:

- Full Admin, that will MANAGE/ADMIN everything on the DayZ server, and DayZ section of forums.

- Must be 19+

What we can offer you:

- Free server hosting based in Seattle for the DayZ server

- Full control of the server, however you'd like, with some ground rules.

If you, or someone you may know is interested, please leave a reply here.

Thanks for your time!

- Fierce

Fragworks. Do not recruit administrators from this community.

Half of the people don't know how to admin correctly, or haven't been an administrator at all. And then the other half wouldn't want to.

Those whom do want to won't know what they're doing, abuse, or suck. That summarizes just about everyone.

I agree with Welch, Asking on the forums for a responsible admin isn't a wise idea....

Right. I mean look at the forum admins and mods we've got on the forums! You think the players are any better?

Well, we're not planning on blindly selecting an applicant with a propeller hat or something....

If you know a more suitable place where I could find such a person, that would be helpful.

Hmmm i know of a couple good ones but they are currently taken.

Welch what is your problem with the mod team here? Are you just out to try and cause us grief?

Have a look through the Private Hive discussion, maybe some former Admins kicking about there.....

Here is my suggestion, get a few of your members to play DayZ for a couple of months then select the most trusted one.

If none of them have DayZ then say you would like to make a clan and spread into DayZ, don't EVER select a person on what they say.

I could apply and you like me then i stab you in the back (not that i would do that, just an example :P).

I would suggest a member that is 20+ (and mature) to run the DayZ side of things.

Good luck!

This is a good suggestion, however none of the existent members are capable of handling the work needed in managing a gameserver.

Also, I forgot to mention... we only accept people 19+ into the clan/staff to being with :P

No I don't have beef with any of the mods. I was just crackin' a wise one, yo!

And to the OP: I'll just say that I used to administrate a couple servers, but the "admin" work I did was Dart/Gotcha and looking for unusual executions.

Cool man, too tired to see sarcasm atm!

Not a problem.

Y'know, studies show that the secret to curing "being tired" is something called sleeping.

Crazy, right?

You should ask for them to be +21 yrs.. that way you can provide them with the booze and aspirin they are gonna need to deal with that server for you.

Good luck in your search but in all honesty anyone on this forum that would be a good candidate would probably be running his own server.

Hello,

My name is Jason and I would be interested in your offer.

I am 28 years old and have been running many different types of gaming servers in the past.

I currently live in Madawaska Maine, in the USA, and have a vast knoweldge of computers, and servers.

I also have skype as a means of communications.

If you are interested in having be administer your server, please feel free to send me a private message.

Thank You.

This just seems really odd to me.. why would you choose some stranger to run a server you are paying for instead of a trusted colleague? Admining a DayZ server is not even hard, especially if it's a private one. The mod tools provided with some of the servers make the job really, really easy.
