Belgium 1 server, passworded with 4 people playing presumably the hosts:

yes we where in it,yes it whas locked, cause atm it keep crashing every 2 minutes so

thats why its locked so people dont overflow it why we try to get it up againt.

It was passworded not locked.

Im sure what you said is true but with a passworded server it looks like you are allowing certain password yielding people in and not others whereas with a locked server nobody gets in.

Perhaps they are testing in-game to determine why the server is crashing? It hardly seems like a big deal if it is not constantly like that.

indeed if it's for hours on end then maybe they are looting but if it's for mins or just an hour or so then there shouldn't be an issue

There is nothing wrong with passwording a server while performing maintenance on it. I did it for ZA1 yesterday, because it was the simplest way of keeping people from joining the server while we try and figure out what the hell is going on. If we lock the server and kick everyone who joined off, people also run to bitch and moan about it.

The only people bitching and moaning about locked/temporarily passworded servers are people who are not running servers themselves. Maybe those people should learn what goes into running a server before they come whine here.

i run LU2 and believe me i full well know more than most about managing servers and SA's who passworded for fault finding and the like thats fine but when you see 47/50 passworded server then it's servers like that which should get blacklisted.

As stated above occasional passwording is fine for testing and fault finding but when you see the same server passworded for days on end with the same people sitting in it hen something has got to be a mis there.

Yes, that's a whole different ball-game. However, I'm talking about people who see a server passworded once, with maybe 2 or 3 people in, then run to the forums to lodge a complaint. I someone sees it happen repeatedly over a series of days, fair enough, but if it's the first time you see it, don't assume the worst.

Well, take screencaps of it with timestamps every time you see it then. If they ARE exploiting it to farm loot, then they should be blacklisted.

The person maintaining the server was performing maintenance and testing the new patch.

The server should already be fully open again as far as I know.

BE1 is a diffrent server we are talking about belgium 1.

indeed BE1 and BE 2 are whole different servers

we try to do our best to have belgium 1 running as good as possible for the people and once in a while when updating/ people crapping around on it,it can make crash the server wich need to be maintainanced for you guys to keep playing on it.
