Need help with DayZ, non steam.

I recently got ArmA II Combined Operations. I mainly got it for DayZ. I installed both Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA. I went onto this site to download the dayZ mod, I downloaded DayZ commander. I updated DayZ to the latest update but everytime I try to join a game using DayZ commander All I get is, "There was an error launcing DayZ with Arma 2. Please check your settings and verify your game directories. And try again.

Details: The system canno't find the file specified."

So I leave that and go on ARMA 2 OA. I go to the expansion thing is tick the dayz stuff etc. But when I try to join a sever all I get is. "Connecting Failed."

Please help because it's really annoying, I looked on the internet for a fix but all I could find was fixes for the steam version.

Hello there

Have you run each game independently once before trying to launch dayz?

Run arma2. Close it

Run OA. close it

now try dayz.

Yeah, I ran both of them, I even made a shortcut for ARMA 2 OA to go straight to DayZ

quick question my i have a similar error. does the mod and games hace to be installed on the c drive or can the be installed on a separate internal drive?
