j1mm 0 Posted December 27, 2012 (edited) I just got Dayz and the game starts just fine. I have the combined operations pack and system requirements meet the standards. I get this major screen tearing and its so bad it looks like i'm underground and I cant even see 5 feet in front of me. I've tried Shift - flush but that doesn't help and I've tried multiple other things and I don't have any other ideas. I also have a screen shot of what it looks like in game: http://puu.sh/1FKuyAny suggestions are welcome. Thanks!Edit: Still nothing working :/ Edited December 30, 2012 by J1MM
Welch (DayZ) 756 Posted December 27, 2012 You're stuck under the ground, I think? You'll need to get someone with a vehicle so you can get into the vehicle, thus getting out. Or suicide glitch. Or having someone kill you.

rekrul 91 Posted December 28, 2012 Wow, that's horrendous. Try Arma2 and see how that looks. Then OA. If they are fine, try re-installing DayZ. If they are as bad, you need to sort it out there first, at least OA which is the engine that DayZ is running on. Try turning graphics down to minimum on everything and work yourself up from there to localize what feature causes it. If the problem is still there on the lowest setting, try the BIS forum - they have pretty much seen all the faults you can stumble over.http://forums.bistudio.com/forumdisplay.php?83-ARMA-2-amp-OA-TROUBLESHOOTING
rooneye 135 Posted December 28, 2012 Hmmm not sure if this is the graphics bug or not. If it is the graphics bug, Shift - (on numpad) flush didn't work for me either, but I found a method that worked 100% of the time for me, maybe it will work for you, worth a try i guess. So, firstly do the Shift - (on numpad) flush, screen should go black as it flushes. Once that is done press Escape, Alt, Enter (like you would do ctrl alt delete) your game should now go into windowed mode (this bit can be a bit fiddly and sometimes you have to do it a few times for it to work), the escape menu will also come up, click continue. Now your game should be in a small window, again press Escape Alt Enter, this will make your game go back to fullscreen and again the escape menu will come up, click continue. And thats it, for me this fixed the graphics bug 100% of the time, whereas just shift - flush did not work all of the time.Like I said, not sure if what you're experiencing is the same as me, but give that a try anyways. colekern 1364 Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) Its not your card its Arma. This is a well known bug. Its not screen tearing, its artifacting. Try turning V-sync on and off. Edited January 1, 2013 by colekern
