amlaborde@windstream.net 94 Posted December 26, 2012 This just popped into my head. In Zombie movies these days, once the initial outbreak happens and fresh Infected roam the streets, their movements are more swift and precise since there has not been a state of decay in their bodies yet. Fresh Infected Zombies will move faster than once who have been around much longer. What if this was implemented into the Stand Alone infected? Depending on how long it takes from server restarts or some other fashion--Zombies would range from Fresh, to Decayed. If it was possible, the Zombies would look different from eachother. The fresh one would look like a normal survivor with and infected look... The Decayed onces will literally look like a walking corpse like you see on The Walking Dead. They will move much slower, but they can form into large herds. The Fresh ones can sprint after you like they do now, but they can be more easily tricked. Help expand this idea if you are in favor of it!.
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Rockets plan is to implement a complete life cycle for the zeds and their infection. I'm not sure at what point it'll be introduced but it is in the pipeline if all goes to plan :) Edited December 26, 2012 by Fraggle
rossums 2190 Posted December 26, 2012 Don't worry, it's already getting put in the standalone. They are implementing a 'zombie lifecycle' where the longer they go without food they degrade and lose speed and strength.

rossums 2190 Posted December 26, 2012 If you have enough time to kill you should watch the talk from Dean Hall (Rocket) about the future of DayZ. He briefly goes over a few of the features he wants to add, although not in detail. Its good for sticking on in the background.
