OrLoK 16185 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Hello thereIn DAYZ you don't "save". The game automatically saves your character when you log off.RdgsLoK Edited December 26, 2012 by orlok
OneNineSe7en 3 Posted December 26, 2012 Thanks for the quick response. What happens when you change servers or don't remember the server you were lasted longed onto? Is there a way to save servers, I am using the SIX Launcher. I am assuming there is a difference between Private and Public Servers? If so, what is the difference, which are better? Sorry for all the n00b questions, trying to find my way! :)
OrLoK 16185 Posted December 26, 2012 Hello thereThe public hive is a database shared by many servers. So, you can jump from server to server and keep your kit.Private hives are usually just the opposite, one server one hive. So, on one server you may have a rifle, but if you join another server you need to start again with no equipment. But, if you went back to the first private server you'd again have your rifle.Well admin'd and whitelisted servers are usually less plagued by scripters so on the whole, I'd recommend them YMMV.RgdsLoK
OneNineSe7en 3 Posted December 26, 2012 Orlok, thanks M8, you have been helpful. May I ask how I can tell which serves are whitelisted and well admin'd...the last thing I want is a bunch of hacks and script kiddies fucking up my fun and first impressions of this game. Also what is YMMV?-OneNineSe7en
