MrVaginaSoup 0 Posted December 26, 2012 Okay so i have a problem. When i die in Day Z and try to respawn i get stuck on the loading screen and it causes me to crash the server. the ping goes to 10000 and all players are kicked. after that happens i close Day Z open it again and me and everyone else is able to join again. ive tested this on a few servers and ive crashed them all. my home server thinks hackers are doing it to their server because i caused it to crash about 5 times today unintentionally and i dont want to fess up. how do i fix this problem? Ratsmon 131 Posted December 26, 2012 1. How many times did this occur?2. Are you absolutely sure the servers lost connection? After you die double check, maybe its just for you.3. Die on purpose on a random server, do the usual stuff you do, log out , restart DayZ command or whatever and check the playerbase. If it has changed alot, you are crashing it(Note: Before doing this check how much players are on currently)After you did this, report back. :)

Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted December 26, 2012 The weird thing is that somehow your killing the server without access to it, i've never heard of anyone else doing this... The only logical thing i can think of is a script injected that when you die you cause the whole server to go down with you, I am assuming you don't script making this a very strange problem. Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Strange indeed, i have never heard of this problem before now.... hmmm if i die and get stuck on loading i find out that im losing connection to the server and at that point i use task manager to close the program then boot it up again, but i never manage to kill entire servers!!Ill try play about with my server today and see if i can do the same as you and maybe figure out the root of the problem for you. Dayzo 182 Posted December 26, 2012 I find that most issues involving the loading screen are connected to running an outdated Arma version. For troubleshooting, ensure you have the same version as the server you're playing on, and then see if you still have loading problems and can crash it:http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

TruckingBucket 10 Posted December 26, 2012 That sounds awesome. But evil, even hackers would envy you. But it does sound annoying.

MrVaginaSoup 0 Posted December 27, 2012 (edited) this guy noticed that players with AX player IDs are able to crash servers. i have an AX player ID. could this be the cause?https://github.com/ayan4m1/DayZ-Private/issues/559 Edited December 27, 2012 by MrVaginaSoup
