hello there,

I run an old 460 and Dayz runs, for me, at an acceptable level so you should be fine.

Hello there

Well, it's not *all* down you your GPU so YMMV. You have to take the rig as a whole, including software/tweaks etc.

Regardless as long as you PC is ok then that card is fine. Just make sure your PSU can handle it.

Arma2 doesnt use more than 2GB of vram so something with that and a high clock speed is good i suppose, but you also have to consider processor strength and whatnot

Krobar is correct, interestingly enough DayZ is more reliant on your processor capabilities moreso than your video card. My computer has a 3 year old video card but a quad core processor. Would never know the diff b/c the game engine is such that it doesn't utilize the video card as efficiently as other game engines. Hence it demanding more potential from your processor instead.

Edit:

Unfortunately video cards are also cheaper than having something with enough processing power to handle the game.

Also you will need a fast hard drive as well. If you have a slow 5400RPM or even a 7200RPM HDD...You're gonna have a mediocre time. An SSD will boost the performance in most games, especially DayZ/Arma 2.
