Shooting Players and Him/Her Dying From Blood Loss?

If I shoot a player and they die from blood loss a minute later, or he/she get mauled by zombies afterward, does the game count it as a kill by me and I lose humanity if it was a survivor/hero? Was wondering because I got into a situation, had to shoot a man and let the elements finish him off, not sure if zombies reached him, I broke his legs and he pressed respawn, or if he bled out, but wondering if I'm closer to bandit now..

If he gets killed by zombies, based on my experience (it was hilarious story), no it doesn't count as your kill. If he bleeds out, however, then yeah, it counts as your kill.

It all started whenever I was first starting to play the game. I'd been playing for... a week? Anyways, I'd just made it to the Bolota airfield's military base and picked up my first full-auto weapon. My next stop: the hangars.

When I got there, there was a bandit in prone, rifle raised, looking directly at me. I backed up, yelling "FRIENDLY, FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!!" into the mic. I ran to the air traffic control tower and tried find some loot. From the tower, I saw the bandit leave. I went to the hangars.

Turns out the bandit hadn't left and was hanging out behind a wall about one-hundred meters away. We then both started peeking around the corner at each other (this went on for a minute or so). We were both new. We were both extremely terrified.

Al of the sudden, an unarmed player in a zombie skin runs up to me, and does nothing but stare at me. All of the sudden, he drops in quite possibly the most exaggerated death animation arma has. The bandit had mistaken him for a zombie.

Then things get more interesting. A new, unarmed player comes sprinting down the runway with quite possibly the biggest zombie train I've ever seen. I was going for my Hero skin. I sighed, then charged out after him to save him.

All of the sudden, something flies past my face (it was either a bullet or graphical artifact, as it was version 1.7.3). I look, and the only thing I see is... BANDIT. I light him up.

Well.. sorta. I end up spending to mags. and hitting him maybe, I don't know, twice, because I was so scared my hands were shaking and I didn't know how to zero my gun. Nevertheless, the bandit goes unconscious. Even though I was going for a Hero skin, I couldn't but let out, "That was awesome!" as I ran off. The zombies finished the guy off.

I turn around, only to see the zombie skin guy looting the bandit. Huh, apparently he had survived.

Anyways, long story short, I ended up finding another bambi while me and the other survivor were trying escape that zombie train. Eventually we got separated and I died trying to fight my way back to them. (Remember me? I was the guy who tried to impress you with my heroics on the recruitment thread!!!)

I realize now that, if that thing that flew that flew past me was a bullet, the bandit was shooting the zombies, 'cause no ones aim is that bad when they have the upper hand.

Anyways, you probably found this semi-hilarious because you weren't there. Looking back, it was hilarious for me because of how scared I was.

At this point, the holiday and the fact I couldn't play made my timing absolutely worse, so I don't really care who I play with as basically everyone else is gone from lack of engagement If you don't mind playing Tavania occasionally and Namalsk quite a bit, with of course Chernarus thrown in the mix, your welcome to come. My Steam is psn_cjd_22 and I'm giving it to you because I picked up one random guy from a server and I play with him a lot now too, so to say that denying you who has been following me around quite often is fair is a ludicrous statement.

Edit: That story is pretty funny. If I wasn't drowsy I would have enjoyed it more, though. You're lucky the bandit just looked at you. Once, I met one in Cherno and wasted no time in hoofing it past him and almost getting obliterated from M16 shots. If I wasn't observant and hadn't been listening to my surroundings, he would have got me easily.

Then running across a field while he was shooting... fun. It actually was.

I can't in the next few days. A snowstorm slowed my internet o crawl and the only way I'm able write this was through a generator. I'd love to team up sometime though.

P.S. No hard feelings, if that's what it seemed like. i just thought it was funny that I was telling you the exact story I'd tried to impress you with.
