cannot play O.A. single playera any more

Recommended Posts

i was enjoying the single player portion of O.A. when i lost the ability to access it around the last dayz update.the single player option in the main menu is "greyed" out and i no longer get the option to launch combined operations from steam.it also might have coincided with the O.A. beta on steam (i'm not sure what this is).

any help would be appreciated , or direction to a thread that has dealt with this previously (i searched , but failed to find).

cheers ,

Dr Octagon.

You have to turn off DayZ mod to play single player. However you turn your addons on i.e if you use the launch parameters or ArmA 2 addon launcher or whatever, you will need to remove DayZ and load up the game with out the mod to play single player.

Hello there

Rooneye is correct, the later versions of dayz grey out the SP button, due to the civvies being replace by non agressive zeds.

Simply disable the mod and you're free to play CO in all its glory yet again.

is there a way to easily switch back and forth between CO and dayz as i enjoy both (single player CO reminds me of socom navy seals from ps2)?

i'm a bit of a techtard , so if its not simple i'll just deal with it.

thanks for your time,

the Dr

Yeah there are a number of options. DayZ Commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and Play With Six http://play.withsix.com/ are the two big ones that most people use. There is also ArmA 2 Launcher http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241 - this is a really great and easy to use program that's great if you need to use other mods like JSRS or Rmod or whatever. With this one you install the mods manually then just tick which mods you want to start the game with. The other two install stuff automatically which is easier, but less control/options.

And yeah man single player is awesome, seems like not that many DayZ players play it, theyre missing out. There are many great addond/mods for ArmA 2 You can download here too http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241

thanks a bunch!i've been watching arma 2 vids (atilla 16 , dyslecxi etc...) long before i owned a p.c.

dayz is awesome , but there is a lot of content i bet a lot of dayz players will never know about.perhaps its not a bad idea to have an arma 2 thread on the forums so people who play both can share their enthusiasm and get people primed for arma 3.

thank you for your helpful reply.
