Flashlight with handgun

The ability to use a flashlight and handgun at the same time needs to be implemented. This is a basic skill for close combat and small arms training.

This would be also good if you could use a knife as a melee weapon combined with either a handgun or torch.

I'm not sure I would want to use a knife with a handgun unless it was approaching machete size, or the handgun was unreliable. I think the extra hand would be better off helping control the handgun. The main problem I see with two weapons at once is coding and shooting... how do you use the second one at the same time with a mouse?

A flashlight would be good though since you can't shoot unless you can see what you're aiming at. I hope if this is implemented that the devs create a new recoil class for using a handgun with one hand, because it's a lot harder to control than using two.

It's not only the recoil, shooting with two hands is much more accurate and you can keep it stable. Not sure if anyone would go one-handed at ranges more than 50 meters.

its a good idea, a few guns already have lights attatched. A good feature would be to have a handgun in the sidearm slot, and right click on flashlight (whether its a flashlight or military flashlight) and click "use with pistol" and you can then turn the light on and off with L as usual.

Agreed. The player should also be able to hold other stuff (than flashlight) in the non-gun hand (with obvious penalty if it's heavy etc). Holding the gun in one hand should make it sway more or make it harder to use in other ways.
