Terrible framerate

Recommended Posts

So the past months I have had trouble with DayZ and the framerate I get.

The first times I played DayZ I had a steady 50-60 frames and could record perfect in 40 frames.

I moved my PC down to the basement and I still had around 50 frames~

After some time I started getting 30 frames and only 15 when inside of cities.

Now it's around 25~ and 10-15 in cities, and i'm playing on "Normal" and 1280 x 720 resolution!

With my new formatted PC and the specs I have I should have no problem running this smooth.

Specs:

i7-2600K @4,4GHz

Radeon 6950 Overclocked to the max through CCC

8 GB Ram

800W PSU

I don't know where the mistake is, I have the latest drivers and everything. All the other games on my computer runs completely fine, games such as BF3 etc.

Where could the mistake be?

I have also followed a lot of guides "How to get better fps" etc, but with no success at all.

Please help me.

ARMA is a very arsey game and it's not very well optimised, hence the countless " OMGZ my fps is crap " posts. 1 setting can put you back, or forward 20 FPS. It also depends on the server you're playing on and if it's been restarted recently.

I always link people to these few:

I hope you know what you're doing and haven't just dragged all the sliders up to max without thinking?

Been following those suggestions, doesn't make any difference to me.

I'm quite sure ive tried ALL of these "supposed to help" optimizations.

@Kyzahh

Don't worry, I know what i'm doing :)

Thanks for the replies, both of you.

I used the Armaholic Launcher

Now I switch between Armaholic launcher and DayZ Commander.

Go into the " Settings " tab in DayZCommander and try putting " -cpucount=8 -maxMem=8192 " without the quotation marks in the " Additional Launch Perimeters " box

It fixed it for the first 5 minutes then my framerate went back down to the normal..

Doesn't matter what i'm currently running as ive tried EVERYTHING, seems kinda ignoring to your question, but it's the truth :)

Go ahead and suggest some settings for me and i'll try them.

My only requirment is that the game will still look decent. It's very easy to say "set it all to very low, problem solved", but with these specs I expect at least Normal/High! :)

I can gladly let someone access my PC over teamviewer and try to tweak this to what you think would work! :)
