zeroxiz 33 Posted December 15, 2012 So the past months I have had trouble with DayZ and the framerate I get.The first times I played DayZ I had a steady 50-60 frames and could record perfect in 40 frames.I moved my PC down to the basement and I still had around 50 frames~After some time I started getting 30 frames and only 15 when inside of cities. Now it's around 25~ and 10-15 in cities, and i'm playing on "Normal" and 1280 x 720 resolution! With my new formatted PC and the specs I have I should have no problem running this smooth.Specs:i7-2600K @4,4GHzRadeon 6950 Overclocked to the max through CCC8 GB Ram800W PSUI don't know where the mistake is, I have the latest drivers and everything. All the other games on my computer runs completely fine, games such as BF3 etc.Where could the mistake be?I have also followed a lot of guides "How to get better fps" etc, but with no success at all. Please help me. piemanpm 13 Posted December 15, 2012 ARMA is a very arsey game and it's not very well optimised, hence the countless " OMGZ my fps is crap " posts. 1 setting can put you back, or forward 20 FPS. It also depends on the server you're playing on and if it's been restarted recently. I always link people to these few:http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-2565.htmlhttp://i.imgur.com/1AQoW.jpg
Kyzahh 127 Posted December 15, 2012 Radeon 6950 Overclocked to the max through CCCI hope you know what you're doing and haven't just dragged all the sliders up to max without thinking?
zeroxiz 33 Posted December 15, 2012 (edited) Been following those suggestions, doesn't make any difference to me.I'm quite sure ive tried ALL of these "supposed to help" optimizations.@KyzahhDon't worry, I know what i'm doing :)Thanks for the replies, both of you. piemanpm 13 Posted December 16, 2012 Go into the " Settings " tab in DayZCommander and try putting " -cpucount=8 -maxMem=8192 " without the quotation marks in the " Additional Launch Perimeters " box
zeroxiz 33 Posted December 16, 2012 This is also something ive tried before!I'll try it again I guess, but for now i'll go to sleep. Thanks for the reply, again! :)
zeroxiz 33 Posted December 16, 2012 Go into the " Settings " tab in DayZCommander and try putting " -cpucount=8 -maxMem=8192 " without the quotation marks in the " Additional Launch Perimeters " boxIt fixed it for the first 5 minutes then my framerate went back down to the normal.. rainf 76 Posted December 16, 2012 Just a question, what settings are you running?
zeroxiz 33 Posted December 17, 2012 Doesn't matter what i'm currently running as ive tried EVERYTHING, seems kinda ignoring to your question, but it's the truth :)Go ahead and suggest some settings for me and i'll try them.My only requirment is that the game will still look decent. It's very easy to say "set it all to very low, problem solved", but with these specs I expect at least Normal/High! :)
zeroxiz 33 Posted December 18, 2012 I can gladly let someone access my PC over teamviewer and try to tweak this to what you think would work! :)
