Need some help please

Recommended Posts

Cheaters have taken to planting literally 50-100 hueys/suvs etc around our server. (along with a thunderdome or two) It is an official hive server, and would like to stay that way but losing all hope to do so.

I have shut down and restarted, choppers everywhere still so I put the server in whitelist* and allowed the regular players a dozen or so that where on stay on and try to help crash land them. We managed a paltry 15 or so destroyed. How do I remove them and the thunderdome? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

* I acknowledge this to be against the rules but the server literally had 20 choppers in the air, not acceptable. I warned everyone 30 minutes before doing so and no one, not me not anyone is allowed to have a huey with the "real" one being in its broken down spawn site :/

I can't help - and I doubt anybody officiall can either, but I've had a hacker spawn 10 hueys at NWAF, and have thunderdomes spawned. Nothing you can do about it on the public hive I'm afraid, it's a real PITA :(

You will just have to destroy the heli's, I *think* the thunderdomes will disappear after a week or so.

Yes this is a real one I think, in the nw airfield unable to enter except server hopping to be in the middle of it? So I am stuck with 50 choppers on a server gah... why in the hell would a server save (or the hive save) the items when it knows only one can be on a server... *sad face* I like public, going to have to debate whether to stay public now. Thanks for the helpful try! :)

I feel your pain mate, I even opened a support ticket when I had buidlings spawned at NWAF - it never got answered :(

I run a private hive as well and it's an easy job to get rid of them when you have access to the database, with the public hive you have to rely on somebody 'official' doing it, but it doesn't seem to happen :(

I have wondered though, in the private hive you can state a maximum spawn for each vehicle, I'm sure the huey is a maximum of 1 in the public, so I have no idea how more can be spawned............

Vehicles are stored in hive, and so they respawn at each server restart.

You have to wait for some hive cleaning (which I think is performed regurlarly).

Meanwhile, I can give you a server pbo that will clean your vehicles list at each restart.

That would be useful :)

I have the same thing. it is a pain but it is the only thing that fixes it. I had one guy spawn 3000 littlebirds and crash my server. I couldn't bring up the server at all until I could get rid of them. That .pbo does the trick really nicely and only thing restores my sanity. Thank you to whoever had that.

I will try this fix later, thanks very much - does this also get rid of buildings that are spawned in by hackers? I have barracks etc spawned at NWAF, I was led to believe these would be cleared up by the hive eventually, but they are still there after a few weeks.

Have just applied the fix, I can see hundreds of entries for

DELETE Land_HBarrier_large

in the RPT file

I can't thank you enough :)

Gimmie gimmie pretty please, I am going nuts running my public server, Thunderdome buildings etc etc... Why is there no sticky on this??? or even a thread that links to the correct official file/method?

I don't exactly feel comfortable uploading a non official file to my official public hive.
