derekjenson 0 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) Hello everyone,I don't know if the solutions to some issues I have with the game have been brought up before or not, if they have please keep the flaming to a minimum.Okay so lets say I am entering a building in DayZ currently I have to run straight in with my weapon facing forward due to collision issues, now many times this has gotten me killed because A: I didn't go completely straight in and got stuck on the door and got stuck and the survivor already in the building took advantage of the fact I couldn't put him in my sights. Solution: http://www.youtube.c...ed/EMsRa-7Zb0UNice huh? :)Okay my next issue is with the whole deal of pressing V to climb over fences and what not. The whole process is slow and makes you an easy target for bandit and Zed alike. Solution: http://www.youtube.c...ed/v5jeQz6szRwNow I do not believe that these would be too hard for Rocket and the Dev team to implement into the game since most of the work has been done by the ShackTac Community and I do not believe they would have any issues with them being used for DayZ, I think they would find it flattering that their work could be used to enhance another Mod. You can find the links to the mods at http://dslyecxi.com/.../shacktac-mods/ One other things, this one is a personal request, please add some form of Clan/Grouping Feature if possible.I hope you all like my suggestions and don't flame me! :)-Derek Jenson Edited December 10, 2012 by Derek Jenson
aksuduud 64 Posted December 10, 2012 Most mods are released under non-profit license and i doubt the devs would be cool with their work being used to make money they wont see a single cent of.

And Dslyecxi released all the addons I showed publicly for anyone to use, again to be clear this would only be for the Mod. :)-Derek

I would think they will want to keep the code base the same for both releases.

OrLoK 16183 Posted December 10, 2012 (edited) Hello thereI wouldn't be surprised to see elements of their code (with permission) or similar stuff being coded in by Rocket and his Goblins. Also, in some of the recent screenies, dont they show extra wide doors?rgdsLoKEDIT: as to the new engine, you'd be surprised at how similar they have been over the various iterations. It's not an entirely new engine rather a next step. Edited December 10, 2012 by orlok
derekjenson 0 Posted December 10, 2012 Your probably right, but are those screenshots for the Mod, or the Stand Alone? I just posted these because they would only really be useful in the mod.-Derek
