So two friends and myself bought the game tonight, handled all the installation for the mod, got everything running fine... Then we all logged into the same server, and we all successfully loaded, HOWEVER -

We were invisible to each other.... And when we approached zombies they were oblivious to our presence, regardless of how close we were, whether hiding or not... Has anyone had this problem and found a solution for it? I would greatly appreciate receiving any help!

You need to Download the 'Beta_Patch' This will fix that issue.

You need to Download the 'Beta_Patch' This will fix that issue.

Any chance of a link good sir? Finding the downloads section a bit confusing.

It's the beta for arma2. Once you install it search the forum for beta patch or search the I teensy for instructions on running it.

If u install dayz trough six updater, does it also apply the beta patch?

Nope. Under the six launcher options, however, make sure you tick the box next to "Beta" after you install the beta (if you're using six launcher to launch your game).

everyone is talking about the latest beta of ARMA2! If i purchased ARMA on steam i assume the game should be automaticly on the newest Version! Is that right? :/

No, you still have to install the beta version like i do.

I've purchased the steam version too

after you install the beta, you will have to replace the "ArmAOA.exe" with the one you've just installed( it's in "arma 2 operation arrowhead/expansion/beta")

and don't forget to back up the original one~

and set the OA launch options in steam as "--beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ -nosplash"

Yeah, as it's a BETA patch and Steam are unlikely to roll out a BETA patch.

I have to install ALL of these? I just got this game yesterday and was having the same issue....but now I'm starting to worry just how many hoops I'm going to have to jump through before I can even play.
