Really Low Frame Rates (Laptop, GT525m)

Recommended Posts

So I am using a laptop.

  • Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
  • 6gb ram
  • GeForce GT 525M 1gb ram
  • 1366 x 768 Rez

I tried DayZ once and it ran very well. I actually was surprised. I didn't play for long because the Simulation controls had my mind boggled. So I uninstalled it. (Installed with Six Updater with a friends help) So now I decided to play again after seeing some videos and hearing the standalone is almost here. I install with the new "DayZ Commander" Which seemed way easier. When I loaded it up I cant get a frame rate higher then 25-27 and its running really sluggish even when changing the settings.

What I tried to fix it.

  • This config fix : http://tinyurl.com/FPSFIXDAYZ (Could not find the second file) - Changed Nothing
  • Lowering everything to lowest. - Little to no change
  • Lowering resolution to the 1200's - Nothing Changed

What Im thinking about trying.

  • Uninstalling and Re-installing using Six Updater.

I am a little lost I know my laptop could handle this fine because I have ran it before. Also SystemRequirementsLab.com Says I am good.

Maybe I should just sit tight and wait for standalone.

Well it ran way faster before I was getting 40-50 before on medium to lower settings. 20-27 fps standing still got forbid someone shoots at me Ide be down 10-15

One thing that did help was turning the 3d resolution down? Not sure what it does but it gave me like 5-8 fps.
