I can't find Battleye client version 1.85.

Recommended Posts

For the past week I have been getting kicked from every single server because I don't have Battleye client v1.85. I always get a red message saying that Battleye client v1.85 is required. So I went to Battleye website which is www.battleye.com to update the version, but apparently there is no such version called 1.85 in the download page, although it says on their home page "Current Version. Client 1.85.

If you're using steam...

  • First go to the steam directory (Usually in Program Files (x86)) click steamapps > common > arma 2 operation arrowhead
  • Then click Expansion > BattlEye and then run UninstallBE (.exe file)
  • Once you've uninstalled BattlEye go back to your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder and click BEsetup
  • Once you're in run Setup_BattlEyeARMA2OA (.exe file)
  • Run a server again, and see what happens

With my understanding of BattlEye it should automatically update your BattlEye up to v1.85 and tell you while you're in the lobby. If not... you might have some sort of firewall up stopping it, but that's too in depth for me. I hope I helped you here, if not I'm sure someone else has a solution.

Also make sure you're running the latest ArmA II beta patch, and DayZ version that is set for the server.

I still get kicked out of the game, and it still says v1.85 required :( But thanks anyways for your help :D

That's the point, the update is not there. There's only v1.62

1.62 is the Arma version, the download link below is 1.885

Yes you are missing something.

the version number listed in text is the ARMA version NOT the BE version... the file linked to download there:

"BE Client for Windows (32-bit) - MD5: 8163e237326f1815e641c1ebfecb6434"

aIS version 1.8whatever, they just can't call the file by it's version name when it's downloaded otherwise the program won't reference it properly.... the linked download that will be called "BEClient.dll" in your download folder IS version 1.8x of BE client side program...

Go download it and use it.

I appreciate your help and your time. But that's the problem, my Battleye Client does NOT update itself by itself. :)
