Teleporting out of control

The server I play on is in recruit mode. So there are Huge white orbs to indicate if there are players or zombies near by. I ONLY enter towns when there are no zombies spawned, and when I join the towns I get in and get out. The only time I have died is when Im running into an empty town and someone spawns next to me and shoots me with an as50.

Im not trying to be overly dramatic about this, but its getting pretty bad. Our server owner has the ability to view a map that shows where players are on the server. Today he said 4-5 players teleported to the helicopter that I spent all morning repairing. He was able to ban them all, but are the bans working?

Cant someone create a script that bans these jerks as they try to do it?

banned a teleport hacker who stole the server admins PW, then 30 minutes later we had the news broadcast hack.

Its too bad that Dayz doesnt offer something like PBBANS

PBBANS bans players on all servers that stream to this global ban list.

You don't seem to have an idea what PBBans is about.

However, don't they show up in your setpos.log/ attatchto.log?

Im referring to the master banlist that is streamed to all servers running PBBANS.

PBBans is a private community that works with game server administrators, players, and subject matter experts to pool their experience and information about cheaters. As cheats are caught through PunkBuster™ violations, screenshots or demos, they are added to our Master Ban Index (MBI). The MBI can then be filtered and downloaded to suit each registered game server admin.

The several servers that I ran using BPBANS were very good. Bans were frequently updated on our servers as they were added to the master banlist. Sounds like I know a little about what Im talking about.. NO?

Besides that, our admin just installed gotcha-anti hack and things have been pretty good so far. Except for them guys that spawned the hind and the cobra. tisk tisk.

You still need rock-solid evidence for a ban on PBBans.

•EB Violations - doesen't make sense since BE globally bans almost all catched cheaters (expect for stuff like having CE open, which is not neccesarily worth a ban), unlike PB which only kicks cheaters most of the time (that's why ACCs like PBBans actually exist).

•PB Screenshots - doesen't make sense either because you won't catch teleporting by a screenshot of the player's screen. Also, PB screens are often the frist thing bypassed by actual cheats.

•demos - Arma 2 doesen't offer an ingame recorder which allows to record demos like e.g. Battlefield 2.

Plus, PBBans would have to be designed specificly for DayZ official hives - Teleporting scripts, spawning scripts etc. is part of Arma 2, it's mods or other missions.

PBBans is a shared community banlist, but it doesen't catch what PB wouldn't catch.
