Loot placement

Recommended Posts

My idea is to have many many spawn points for items, and distribute so many items among them.

This could let you find a car tire in the back of a car, or in a ditch. It would make some towns scarce of loot for a while, while other places spawn more than average amounts of loot. This could force you to move on to another place. Also i'd like at least one rare gun to spawn absolutely anywhere, maybe on a decayed special forces body.

Loot could also be hidden from plain sight, under a tarpaulin or in a locked room.

Some loot caches could even have a back story, told through dead bodies and blood trails.

The reason for the idea is once you know where the loot is, it's the same experience to gear up every time.

I agree the loot should have a more genuine feel other than objects laying on the ground. I'd like to see the shelves in the grocery store actually stocked with things and objects within bookcases, dressers, on tables, etc...

also put loot in containers like lockers or boxes of some kind

maybe car trunks or the glove compartment

Good idea imho, it would also make the game a bit more fresh born friendly, less "fun" for people camping the rooftops of cherno or elektro.

How about basic loot (food & ammo) being found in wrecked, but not destroyed vehicles?

hi,

I was thinking about that a while ago. Loot placements look too artificial (laying on the ground). I would like to see loot spawn in houses furnitures (bed, table,cupboard...) I mean something more natural like someone lived here before the apocalypse .

Good suggestion.
