New and looking for a Friendly Starting server that begins with starter gear

Hey guys

Im new to DayZ. and i love the idea behind it, but so far ive had a phew bad experiences, so im just posting here hoping to find a good bunch of people that i can hangout with and enjoy the game with

Preferably, i would like to find a server that supports a nice friendly atmosphere, ive heard of these "private" hives been good for that. along with a server that starts you off with some basic surviving gear, like a tent to build my home, an axe or pistol for killing zombies. etc

Any help or advice would be appreciated

If you are looking for people to play with, check out the Survivor HQ/Squad/clan/Bandit Forums.

Please use the Search function and take the time to lôôk through the Forums and read the Stickies.

For you, me and many others true, but there's still enough core elements to appeal to the masses (look how popular private hives are - not all of them are there purely to control hackers!). This is particularly the case for new comers to the game too who are initially intreagued by the environment. Once the you get accustomed to the game you soon get desensitised to the environment and want to play more PvP!

Hi Nankura, welcome to dayz. :thumbsup: Boneboy's advice is good. Have a look in the Survivor HQ and in Private Hive Discussion. You will see lists of threads in HQ by people wanting to meet people to play with, and in Private Hive Discussion you will see lots of servers inviting you to join them.

Remember you might want to find servers in your own time zone for a good ping - we have players from all over the world. :)
