If you could put your chosen gear in the standalone...?

Recommended Posts

If you got to pick a set of gear to be implemented into the standalone? What would you pick?

Head:

Just a Black face scarf, to conceal my face if I so choose.

Black headphones, like I usually wear. Can't slay zombies properly without an awesome song in the background.

An Ankh necklace. I don't know why, but I really like Ankhs. I've always had an interest in Eternal life, so perhaps that's why. I've always hated jewelry, but I'd love one of these.

Body:

A black hooded jacket. It'd be nice to be able to put the hood up to make it harder to see you, or put it down whenever you want.

Bottoms:

Black combats. Plenty of pockets, and not made of weak fabrics.

Shoes:

A good, strong pair of trainers. They just seem ideal to me; Whilst they might not be as good in some areas as other types of footwear, they are a good all-around choice.

Hands:

Thick black gloves. Keeps my hands warm and relatively safe.

Backpack:

A single-strap backpack. I personally hate bags with two straps. Having the one strap across my chest feels a lot more secure for me, and I like the little compartment for phones they usually have on the strap. They're also quite big, and I'm used to carrying heavy bags. Ever since my one broke I've had to use a little twostrap drawstring and I hate it. >:l

The reason I choose these is for a few reasons:

1. I actually wear some of these. I know that when some people play a game where they choose their character's appearance, the want to try something they don't get to do, but I'm not like that. I like having a character that resembles me, because when I achieve a feat in the game, it feels like I did it, not my fictional character. I feel like I am meeting people in the virtual world. It feels more immerse for me.

2. The all-black is partly because it's my favorite color (It goes well with every color, and looks fine on its own), but also because it helps you blend in (Technically dark blue is the best, but black isn't bad).

3. I like to be able to carry a lot. The jacket, combats and the bag allow me to do this.

4. I like to keep myself to myself. These clothes are very concealing, so if I don't want someone to see me, they can't.

Let me know what you would like to have in the standalone. It doesn't need to be a complete setup, and you don't really need pictures.

In a perma death game.

It's poetic, is it not?

Though to be fair, I might not go on eternally, but the Ankh will.

Yes. It will live on right after it is looted off your dead body.

Scottish Ghuillie Suit?? Cannie say i have came across one of them before.

Think my layout would be simple, Being in the UK i would happily have my basic Combat 95 clothing (Green cammo), AltBerg Sneaker MKII boots.

Seal Skin combat gloves.

I would use my own Military Issue Daysack for my backpack (even if it's DPM cammo not C95) and my own DragonForce C95 Webbing.

Naturally i would want my SA80-A2 battle rifle as my primary, Glock 17 as a sidearm but also have the bayonet attachment for my Rifle for CQB situations... bar mess tins and weapon cleaning kits (basic operations kit layout) i can't think of anything else i would need.

Yo dawg, i'd put a computer in DayZ so i can play DayZ while i play DayZ.

Immersion², also called DayZeption ™

D:

Other than that, a toilet paper crafting machine.

So i can crap in peace without ever having to worry about the crap.
