Newbie help pwease

Ive been playing Dayz for 2 weeks or so now, and during this whole time i have not been able to find a vehicle anywhere?

the best gun ive had is a M1014 shotgun and ive checked firestations in cherno and elektro

is there something im doing wrong?

Get off the coast. Head North to the North West Airfield or Stary Sobor. You need to look in the hangars, fire stations, military tents, and/or barracks.

Depending on how popular the server is, it will be incredibly difficult to find a car. Trust me, they ARE there, so it's not you.

Well if you really really want to find a car I suggest finding a private hive with an increased car spawn. Those are usually a lot funner IMO. I also agree with Welch though, get off the coast or you'll never do much in Dayz

On your travels keep your eye open for deer stands. If I'm on my way anywhere I use these as waypoints and by the time i get where I'm going I've found some kind of assault rifle. You can do the same thing with barns except you will get a Enfield, DB shotgun or (my personal favourite) a Winchester.

Hi Dimaz. I agree with Rage, the stuff is there but it can be hard to find. With guns your best bet might be deer stands. Without waypoints they can be tricky to find but they can be a good source of better quality guns and piles of crappy tin cans too. I'd try lower population servers while you're learning the ropes. Head north and keep to back/main roads. Mostly people will use these as they can travel quickly. You may risk dying but you could get a car.
