You are running the wrong version of DayZ_Code (Repost)

Hi, I've just fixed a problem I had the other day connecting to servers and now I've run into another.

Basically, every time I attempt to join any server it brings up an error saying "You are running the wrong version of DayZ_code" and it tells me that I'm running 1.7.3 and the server requires 1.7.4. But, I have got 1.7.4 installed so it doesn't seem to make any sense.

I've tried searching for other solutions but I can't get anything so I've resorted to this.

I AM using DayZ commander which could possibly be a part of the issue but I've reinstalled dayz multiple times now and it's really beginning to bother me. I'd be very grateful for some advice to solve this issue and perhaps it can help anyone else with the same problem.

try deleting the @dayz mod folder and then reintsall the version you require

dayz commander does not have 1.7.4 it has 1.7.4.4 if you want 1.7.4 get it from here http://cdn.dayz.nu/latest/testing/oldtesting/ install the 1.7.3 version then copy the files from the zip over

Thanks a lot, clearly I did not think of this and apparently I never even had a @DayZ folder.... stupid me, I thought it was in there. Finally I can play DayZ again!

Also, when I said 1.7.4. I actually meant 1.7.4.4, sorry.

THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO DONT HAVE STEAM COPY, I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL WORK TO OTHERS

had the same problem a week ago (im running arma 2 free and a retail copy of arma 2 OA)

i opened regedit..

Deleted both arma folders in both of these folders :

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio

And reinstalled my arma 2 OA an arma 2 free into one folder and used Playwithsix to update my dayz mod and all the other maps might work with dayz commander but i got wrong dayz_code error when joining other maps besides Chernogorsk

i thought you did but some servers are running 1.7.4 and 1.7.4.3 still so i thought i would put it just incase
