Field hospital with healing abilities?

I was playing, the location is Chernogorsk, near one of the hospitals, the one that has tents. Two of them had the option, through the menu, to select "Heal yourself at field hospital".

Is this a new addition to the game from the latest patch? I didn't really click the option, I don't like to risk.

It's not new, i know that - my friend had this prompt about 2 months ago, i tried recreating it but nothing :(

Did it work? Because its the first time i've ever heard of it..... Very interesting. As Maxgor stated would come in handy if you needed some blood.

Must be a bug, That action must belong to the Arma 2 gameplay and not the DayZ one.

No its a leak from the main part of the game. If one of the "Doctor" zombies are near the medical tents you can use the feature. Its in the main game, I use it all the time when im a lone wolf and need a blood bag, ill agro a doctor zombie and lead him to medical tents and then use the button to heal myself

A doctor zombie? Could you specify exactly what zombie? Maybe an image...

Ive seen it before once on lingor, however it has some strange effects to me.

I had broken legs and used it, but the broken leg icon remained even though I could walk.

Whenever I logged it my legs instantly broke and I had to die to get rid of the bug, even morphine had no effect after that

I tried it out a couple of days ago when I had a broken leg. I could walk on my leg again, though the symbol was still there.

It wasn´t private hive, it was public hive. (I think) I had the PC I always use in the public hive.

I knew the same type of medical tents do have the ability to heal in ArmA2, but I thought those were simply objects.
