Game stops at loading screen

I've only recently started playing DayZ, I've managed to connect successfully several times but 90% of the time I enter a game, select ok to join. Loading appears with a loading bar, then the loading bar disappears and the game stays on a black screen with a yellow loading bar in the middle. I'm running the game from the Six Launcher.

I've looked through the forums, I've seen lots of posts with this problem from about a month ago, but none with any solutions as to what I can do to fix this problem. It's also happening to two of my friends who recently started playing.

Same problem here as of August 11th. Just updated to 1.7.2.4 and now it is doing this.

I was wondering just how wide spread this problem is, I guess it's pretty common.
