DayZ all sorts of problems 9can't join server)

First of all i have no idea what i am getting myself into, i have little knowledge of downloading this game. i just followed instructions on this youtube clip:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljyzbL_jt5k

I downloaded Arma2 using torrent, installed it and everything, patching it to the latest then i clicked on dayz_game and then i got in, joined a server but when the loading screen is running i get this weird message saying a list of files;

dayz_anim.pbo

dayz_code.pbo

dayz_equip.pbo

dayz_sfx.pbo

dayz_vehicles.pbo

and that i needed to delete it or somethig so i quit the game and deleted those files. but when i clicked on the game it says: 'Data file is too short 'C:\Program Files (x86)ArmA2/Expansion/addons/characters_e.pbo'. expected 673569908 B, got 24381440 B

and thats what i am currently stuck right now.

I would suggest those people who knows how to download this game using torrent to watch the youtube clip i linked above so you can tell what went wrong and all.

please i really need your help, i wanna play this game badly!!

EDIT: wait now i deleted the characters_e.pbo (i saved it in another folder just in case i need it) and i opened up the game and well it loads but when i join a game it says i have bad or invalid CD keys

You need to buy Arma2 and Arma Operation Arrowhead, you need both games before you can play the DayZ MOD.

Bet you tried to join a "no key" server.
