Ridable Horses?

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure if this has been discussed or suggested before, but ridable horses just seems like a logical addition to me. There are already plenty of both animals and farms around, so it doesn't seem at all far-fetched for there to be some surviving horses.

My thinking is that they would be relatively common and (for obvious reasons) would not need to be repaired or fueled, but with the drawbacks of them having to be fed as well as being able to be killed or hurt fairly easily. Perhaps a wounded horse would have to be bandaged/medicated in the same way that a wounded player must be?

If the DayZ team wanted to go more in-depth, they could even add different saddle bags, working essentially like a backpack or a vehicle's storage.

Any critisms or suggestions about my suggestion are welcome, I just wanted to see what the DayZ community would think of such a thing.

Your name is definetly "Ellis"! :) IMO normal vehicles are more than enough and it is also not so easy to catch wild horse.

DayZ doesn't seem like a game where you can have enough of something, it seems like a game that tries to be as realistic as it can manage. And I don't mean wild horses, I mean domesticated horses whose previous owners are dead/undead. Sorry if that isn't obvious from my suggesiton.

Horses eat grass, so feeding them isn't a problem.

There are a few other "horse" topics in the suggestions section. Use the search bar.

Searching "horse" only comes up with this thread.
