So I log on today to find my guy in a place that I never ran too with completely different gear than I had when I logged off... Anyone hear about this before?

I don't play on private hives, ever... I spawned iat blunt rocks, never ever been there before. Also spanwed with a m4a1 cco sd with 2 clips.. I'd remember picking this shit up

I've spawned on the beach with all my items before, and i've spawned where i logged off with no items before, but never with upgrades :-D. Perhaps you had some similar equipment before and the database has for some reason reverted you back or something? or what A_Typical_Noob said, you were pissed lol.

In all seriousness, you're not necessarily getting hacked. Servers and character data seem to have a habit of doing some stupid shit over the last couple of updates.
