How do I know I'm playing the Beta?

I have the steam version. I've done everything in Skyrayfox's guide, and the game works fine via Combined Operations.

But am I supposed to launch the Beta from the directory? There's a file that says "Launch Arma 2: OA Beta" but that doesn't work.

You can use Steam to launch the beta too.

Go to your Arma 2 OA folder > Expansion > Beta

Copy everything from that folder (files and folders) into your ArmA 2 OA root directory. Overwrite any files that are already there. Then just launch it through Steam and select CO.

In the top right hand corner, it should say ARMA II @DayZ @Beta Or something similar. Does for me on the steam version anyways

you renamed the original Arma2OA.exe and then replaced it with arma2oa.ex from the beta folder?
