Two Problems

Okay the first problem i have is that I am positive my PC meets minimum and recommended requirements for DAYZ yet i always get poor FPS i will detail my specs below:

CPU: AMD FX-4100

Graphics card: Sapphire HD 7770 OC 1GB

Ram: 4GB RAM

250GB HDD

Windows 7/32 bit

And my resolution 1280x1024

My Second problem is Everytime i aim down the sight on DAYZ my weapon shakes real bad and i don't know what causes this anyone had this problem/and could fix it?

When you are shaking like hell you need to take some painkillers. They are pretty much everywhere and a lot in the hospital.

For the lag you need to update your graphics card drivers and turn down the field of view if its maxed out.

for the shaking it can be:

you run a lot

you are low blood

you are freezing(specially namalsk map or night with rain)

you are ''in pain'' and you should take painkillers

Or if your on namalsk you're cold

When you are shaking like hell you need to take some painkillers. They are pretty much everywhere and a lot in the hospital.

For the lag you need to update your graphics card drivers and turn down the field of view if its maxed out.

I'm not sure about needing painkillers, as i only been in the server about 2 minutes found a gun, then aim then it shaky, and i have updated my drivers to the latest and my FOV is 500

It seemed to shake after i messed around with the cfg files to try and 'optimize' DAYZ but that has probably got nothing to do with the shaking, so i guess it is down to ^ the reasons above

And as for the low FPS, it's because this is ArmA. ArmA runs off a god awful engine which unfortunately isn't a crisp engine. If you haven't tried the obvious, try putting everything on low & make sure postprocess is 'Disabled' and your 3D resolution is the same as your Resolution.

If you have been hit even once by a zed it can make you shake. Your poor fps may also be a symptom of a server that needs restarted or is near capacity. Have you tried a few servers?

Yep, well unfortunately there isn't much you can do other than upgrade your computer or wait till SA and hope that the engine treats you better :(

I have tried many server and haven't seen Improvement in any of them! Since i live in the UK i try and keep my search filtered down to 2 Keywords... EU/UK since i hope to get better connection to the servers!

Well i have only owned this PC for a month now, so i guess i have alot more saving to do to get a better PC then i currently have! And yes i hope to get the SA, Rocket said that DAYZ will be better optimized so fingers crossed!

I've read elsewhere that turning settings down reduces fps performance. Seems kinda counter intuitive to me but the explanation made sense at the time. I will see if I can find it.

Not a lot he can do about that with a 32 bit OS, I think 4gb is ok as I run that and get good fps (will be doubling it to 8 soon though). Seems to me that the CPU is the weak point there.
