Did Namalsk get it right?

I think that the difference between warm clothes and not on Namalsk is a deal breaker; once you have clothes, it is no harder than Chernarus. I would like it to be less harsh without warm clothes and more harsh when you have them. And an increase in antibiotics, so it would be an option to look for them instead of dying once you catch infection.

If you can't find antibiotics on namalsk....give up the game. Really.

Seriously, their spawn rate is increased. I throw them away with the rest of the junk.

ive switched to Taviana...

but its not Namalasks fault.. im a new map whore..

since i dont play for PVP at all, i need a constant source of new maps to explore to keep me interst in DayZ going..

These maps need to add things beyond new locale to keep people interested, like new weapon sets, scripted events, shit, how about zombies that hunt you across the map. That would be sweet.

If yes, stay on alert then! DayZ: Namalsk 070 is coming! Lots of fun things being added :)

btw.: Watching this thread ;) You guys can be sure I will do anything to get the Namalsk experience in DayZ just right. But please take in mind, that same as any other custom island, it was not designed to be for DayZ. The creation of the dedicated DayZ map is something I could possibly consider in the following months, but we will see how much time mainly I will have on something like that ^_^

Or a big zombie with a rocket launcher if you want to go old school. Seriously though, me and a friend went to Seraja with LMGs and both of us got killed by zombies, so the map is clearly a challenge even to seasoned players, which is a big plus in my opinion.

But on the other hand I've spent a week solid farming for a railgun. I found four barretts last night. No railgun.

played it for 6 hours till 5 in the morning with a friend over skype the other day. It's one of the best times on dayz ive had in awhile. It's odd how things are backwards from how Chernarus is. Namalsk is way more PvE since I literally found no food until I traveled from bottom of the map to vorkuta. I killed 60 zombies and none dropped any food. Also by backwards I mean there's guns everywhere in Namalsk but hardly any food but in chernarus I always have no problem with food always find abundance of food whenever I need it however guns are harder to find. First time I went into object A2 I couldn't believe the stuff I found, there were 3 akms (not that special but still pretty good guns) an m107, a g36c silenced, silenced m# of some kind cant remember, and the gun I took with me an ak with a sniper scope and grenade launcher with 3 grenades. Towers are also full of guns it's crazy haha.

Only complaints would be food is WAY too scarce outside of Vorkuta (I hope it's either just that server or really really bad luck) and again maybe its just the server but didn't find any vehicles other than a few boats.

Yeah I would say they need to tone back the gun spawn rates as there are tons and maybe add in alittle more food. I like the gun variety and new additions, there are just too many. Also the Blowouts don't really work how they are right now and need to be tweaked. Something that will either instantly kill you or instantly do heavy damage do you, is kinda stupid. It needs to give off at least a 5 or 10 minute warning before it hits so people have a chance to get into a building and then do less damage.
