solus84 19 Posted November 25, 2012 Please just lay out the pros and cons of both. I have my thoughts on both I'm just curious if the community feels the same way. Use this format if possible. Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) As far as Private Hives go:+ No "phasewalking." (Log out of one server, move into position in another, and return.)+ Whitelists. No more hackers. Safe for established communities.- Performance can be worse, as private hives are not quality-controlled. Dancing.Russian.Man 1631 Posted November 25, 2012 Have you played on any private/whitelists? TY for your feed backYes I have. My current "home" server is a private hive.Another good thing is new maps, custom loot tables, custom day/night cycle, etc.(It's near-impossible to find sniper rifles in the server Im in. And it's running the Namalsk map and the time is frozen at 9:30PM.)
U.G.N - Jedi Panda 1319 Posted November 25, 2012 (edited) I havent banned anyone on my server since i introduced whitelisting 3 weeks ago, this is incredible tbh, there were days where i was banning 15 people for hacking just in one day.pros: safe game play with 99.9% no hackers, people who apply to join a whitelist server are like you, i.e they want to play in a safe environment without hackers/little kiddies/griefers/spammers- custom loot, custom vehicles, increased vehicles, no server hopping to gain advantageous positions during firefights, ability to backup the database should a hacker get through and mass kill everyone.cons: none that i can think of.**as for there being no quality control... most of the sanctuary servers (private hives) are hosted by gaming companies, so they have the same quality and server performance as the standard public hives.if your looking to play chernarus, check out UK#10 zombie world :P Edited November 25, 2012 by -Panda
