DayZ Framerate and System Req. Question (Multiple Parts)

Recommended Posts

I bought Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA so i can play DayZ, and i just looked at the system req. I noticed my computer doesn't meet the graphics card specs and i had a few questions.

My question(s) are

A. Can i run the game with my set-up (see below)?

B. What settings should i use with this set-up (see below) to boost framerate to around 30-35 fps?

C. What can i do on my desktop with this setup (see below) besides upgrading my hardware to increase framerate?

I appreciate anyone that can or will try to help!

System Specs:

Graphics card(s): (ATI Radeon 4200)

Central Processing Unit: (AMD Athlon II X4 640 [4 core]) (@3.0GHz)

Random Access Memory: (DDR3) (@6GB)

Power Supply: (@250W)

Harddrive: (SATA 7200RPM) (@1Tb)

+ External Harddrive @500GB

Operating System: (Win 7) (64 bit)

Sidenote: I am planning on upgrading my graphics card, but i cant max the card at more then 100W because my power supply is 250W. Any suggestions?

Yes, my last comp wasnt as good as that and i played Dayz on it, I got an i7 now for the upcoming Arma 3 :)

But i think youll be fine with your comp on Dayz, You prob might have to lower the graphics settings a lil

USe the standard low/medium/high graphics setting the game offers, try medium and see how it plays, maybe lower the other things after that if need

Theres a tab called Quality preference on the right side, try that at Normal to start with then alter from there onwards to suit :)
