Defcon server hosting makes me want to rip my hair out

Since the 1.7.4.4 patch my server has not had a night cycle. Everytime the server restarts the time is getting set back to 12:30 pm. I used to have my server (PST) set to GMT+5 so it was 12 hrs ahead in server than real life. That way the people on west coast could have daytime when they get off work and night time during lunchhour and what not. On top of it.. my server has an issue with logs today and they tell me oh "That is handled within the game engine and unfortunatley ArmA2 is very lacking in that department" and that they can't help. WTF it was working just fine and now after 1.7.4.4 .. problems. I even tried downloading the files from the .rar that was posted in forums for server hosting.

I am pretty exasperated with trying to get this issue fixed. Can any other server admins help me? Here is the copy of my tickets so you can share in my hair pulling with Defcon Servers. If there is something I can change myself.. I would do it, if I knew how. I have no idea wtf I am going to do on the logging issue.. but maybe someone can help me with time? How can I set the server time myself? Can I do this myself and quit dealing with this ridiculous scenarior?

Last night my server time was correct. Somehow this morning my server restarted on its own and the server time is now set to pacific standard time. I had it changed long ago to GMT+5. Could you please assist me or give me instructions on how to change the server time back to GMT+5? Thank You.

Your server time has been set to GMT +5 which makes it 2:57am. Is that the time you wanted set?

The time is still incorrect. I just restarted the server and the in-game time reads 12:30 pm.. which is just after lunchtime. It should be 3am if it is set to GMT+5. Could you please fix.

So I restarted the server again. It reset the time to 12:30pm. Currently it is 6pm on the West coast, this restart should have at least made the server 6am or 7am. Not sure what else to do here. I can't keep on restarting and booting players off hoping this time it works. Here is a screenshot to show you what time it shows on the server in game. US 3055 should be GMT+5 (which is basically a 12hr ahead of what time it is in US west coast in real life).

My server got hacked and everyone was forced into Thunderdome. I shut it down immediately and after restarting it now twice it is back to 12:30 pm again!!! WTF is going on? Why is the server restarting at 12:30 pm no matter what time it is? Something is messed up. Are we connected to the hive or what?

The hive has nothing to do with server time. The time is still set to what it was last night GMT +5

Hello.

I know you are looking at the file and it says GMT+5 but the server is NOT set to this. I just restarted it and logged on. It is 10:10 am PST. If the server was set to GMT+5 then it should be around 10pm on the server and night time. IT IS NOT NIGHT TIME. There has not been a night cycle in 24 hours at all. Everytime the server resets it is going to 12:30pm and the server is crashing and restarting every couple of hours.

PLEASE FIX THIS. Go onto my server and see for yourself. It is really getting frustrating to hear you tell me the server is set to GMT+5 and yet the server has been daylight for a full day and keeps going back to 12:30pm. PLEASE escalate this. Something is wrong

It is still broad daylight. It should be midnight right now. See picture. At this point the best I can guess is the mission file you had us all download with 1.7.4.4 if fucked up and y'all can't seem to fix this. Not sure what has happened but this is pretty messed up.

Hello,

The mission file has no bearing on server time. Server time zone is set on the actual machine. If you can tell me exactly what time you want the server set to instead of giving GMT time that would be more helpful.

I want the server to be 12 hours opposite from the server location in San Jose, CA.

Currently it is 12:18 am PST in real life on the US west coast. (daylight)

Please set the server to 12:18 am (nighttime).

The server time should be approximately 12 hrs ahead of the real life PST on the west coast. For instance 5pm West coast should be 5 am on the server. Thank you.

It isn't set for that time. 12:30 am would be just after midnight. It should be night. Instead it was daytime. Don't you guys at least have a client that you can log in and verify with? I included a screenshot even.

YOU PHYSICAL MACHINE IS NOT REFLECTING WHAT THE TIME IS IN GAME. How many times do I have to say that whatever you are seeing is NOT what is in the game. Everytime the server restarts the time gets set back to 12:30pm. What part of that sounds like it is working normally?
