rossums 2190 Posted November 22, 2012 You need more RAM if it's memory related.RAM is cheap, I'd go for at least 8GB nowadays, 4GB just doesn't cut it - especially with games.
OrLoK 16182 Posted November 22, 2012 Hello thereRAM may be *cheap*, doesn't mean we've got the cash to buy it :)OP are you running anything else other than the game?rgdsLoK
blunt_zephyr 51 Posted November 22, 2012 In your laptop setting, can you "up" the maximum video ram? Search "Arma 2 Launch Options". Perhaps the performance options could assist.
midgetnamedgordo 3 Posted November 22, 2012 Thanks for the quick replies!@Rossums well I guess more RAM is a possibility especially with Christmas coming up but as for now my money needs to be directed elsewhere.@orlok No I am not running any backgtound programs unless you count Steam.@Blunt_Zephyr I think I did I went to my AMD control center and set the gaming graphics to "performance" as for the "arma 2 launch options" I couldnt find it. May help with problems using older drivers on multi-GPU systems.Midget. When you say AMD control center, you mean the first screen when you power-on ?(that says hit "del" F10" "key-'x'" to enter setup/bios) If not, try looking in there. Check out those launch options. tweak your Arma for your system. Cant/Harder to 'tweak' hardware :)
rekrul 91 Posted November 24, 2012 Yeah sorry, I wasn't clear enough here. I was including the pagefile in that number which isn't RAM. My point is that the 32-bit address limitation is solved long time ago.
